Deaf Men Dancing performs 'TIME', an exciting fusion of dance incorporating sign language.
Time & Location
Doors open at 19:00 for a 19:30 performance.
Greenwich Performs is excited to present Deaf Men Dancing at the exemplary Laban Theatre. Solely performed by deaf dancers, it will challenge perceptions that deaf people can’t dance. Incorporating elements of signing and drawing it into something uniquely beautiful, with incredibly detailed explorations of musical scores.
Mark Smith is the founder and artistic director for Deaf Men Dancing, an innovative and emerging all male dance company. They are a collaboration of dancers and choreographers who, like Mark, are deaf. Together they have created a fusion of dance styles and sign-language into the choreography, creating a unique and original aesthetic. Mark has curated an exclusive performance, 'TIME' for Greenwich Performs and the Laban Theatre. The show will remix DMD's previous work with new choreography around the topic of 'Time', creating a stunning visual narrative.
